VELA YOUTH FUND, INC.

VELA Youth Fund, Inc. is committed to investing in the black youth of today to help ensure a promising future and fulfillment of tomorrow. In the United States, we provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships and honorariums for high school aged youth who strive to further their educational development at institutions of higher learning. We encourage these young people to give back to their communities as they tutor and mentor their younger middle school aged counterparts.

 

VELA also has an international outreach to the Caribbean and in Africa. We provide financial assistance to orphaned children in the MPUMALANGA Province, South Africa, and contribute support to the Nkolbot Primary School in the Nkolbot Community, and    to the primary grade school fortuitously named "Vela" in a small village in the interior

of Cameroon, Africa.
